Andries Dirk Copier was a Dutch designer and worked for many years for glass factory Leerdam (1914-1971).
He was quite artistic and that did not go unnoticed. The factory supported him in this and Copier studied a lot in addition to his work in the factory, at the Academy of Art. In 1930 he designed the Gildeglas (a wine glass) which is still made today.
He received many awards for his work.
