JAJ is an abbreviation for James A. Jobling; from 1922 in England they were the products of pyrex tableware, baking dishes and other in the United Kingdom. They started in the 1950s with the opal pyrex (the beautiful milky white, glossy oven dishes made of precious stone) with the different patterns. This was a hype in the 50s and 60s. The casseroles were marked with JAJ on the back.

In the mid-1970s, JAJ was taken over by Corning Glass Works. After the acquisition of this American company, the tableware and bowls were marked as Pyrex England.
