Moulinex has existed since 1932, since the founder Jean Mantelet applied for his patent for Moulin Legumes:

Moulin-Légumes > was a big hit at the household fair in 1933. Two years later, 2 million copies had already been sold!

Moulinex is a contraction of “Moulin Express”, a reference to the electric coffee grinder marketed by the company.
