Old baking dish from Arcopal France in pastel color. The bowl is in good condition, it has some discolouration and scratches, but this is very light. The color is still very beautiful of this cheerful bowl. There is a small chip on the handle of the lid, see photo.

Arcopal

Arcopal belongs too Arc France, or actually under Arc International. Arcopal is known for its milky-white opal glass. ARC stands for Christallerie d'Arques, which was conceived in 1825. The technique of opal production was only jet discovered in 1958. Arcopal stands for strong tableware, or in this case "as strong as an elephant". There was a logo of an elephant's foot on the package with "Extra Resistants" underneath.
