Vintage leather bag with copper fittings, doctor’s bag from Studio Paris

This thin leather bag is well used and old, the leather is thin and was almost as dry as paper. Treated the bag very carefully with natural leather wax and now it is smoother again. On the inside is a skai inner pocket, this is torn. Unfortunately, that cannot be sewn. Could be carefully cut out. There is also a key that works. I was at a cobbler’s to inquire about the box; but that was not possible. Coincidentally talking about this bag; the woman had been to Germany before and she saw these bags in the leather shops. It was probably recreated from the older doctor’s bag in the 1970s. These bags were (new) at that time around 400-500 guilders, she said. The beauty of this is the copper fittings. It also makes the bag heavy, the bag weighs almost a kilo. The bag is too fragile to really use, but we hope that this bag will find a nice place!
