This bowl has a checkered bottom and is a bit more angular than others. This one is probably a bit older than the rounder version. This small dish was probably used for the butter.

We found this including a lid, which is unique, because it is usually no longer included.

Arcopal
Arcopal belongs too Arc France, or actually under Arc International. Arcopal is known for its milky-white opal glass. ARC stands for Christallerie d'Arques, which was conceived in 1825. The technique of opal production was only jet discovered in 1958. Arcopal stands for strong tableware, or in this case "as strong as an elephant". There was a logo of an elephant's foot on the package with "Extra Resistants" underneath.
